On Nov 23, 2019 I visited the Land Rover dealership in Encino to test drive a Velar. This was after being ignored for 4 weeks by the dealership since I had been there last looking at a Discovery model. I thought to give them another try that day, since I also had decided to upgrade my selection to a Velar. I walked in, asked for a reliable salesperson, was introduced to Mike S. as a great and knowledgeable person who helped with test driving couple of Velar cars. He was fine during the initial test drive process, but then failed the rest of it! I came back the next afternoon, Sun, Nov 24, 2019 with my husband and were able to agree to the Lease of a 2020 Velar R-Dynamic HSE. We had issues with the Finance Dept. not being able to run my credit, which I resolved on my own as they gave me incorrect info, causing further delays in the process. As we were waiting for the paperwork, Mike S. our sales rep passed us on to Bobby H. another sales rep who is a seasoned, professional one to help close the deal. Well, all I can say is: THANK GOODNESS FOR BOBBY H. Otherwise, I would not have left that dealership that night with a car to write this review! Bobby H. stepped in, guided us through the rest of the process, spending another 1-2 hours setting up the car and showing us all the features, at which point we realized the car has NO SOUND. Bobby suggested to bring the car back to have the Service Dept perform a software update to correct the problem, along with a couple of other features not working properly. I came back on Tue, Nov 26, 2019 and dropped off my car for 6 hours to be told to come back to pick up a LOANER as they need to replace the AMPLIFIER on the vehicle, as the software update did not fix the issue! They were 'kind enough' to find me a 2020 Velar - lower model of course - so that I am not putting miles on my own car, yet I am paying for the car! As of this morning, Dec 3, 2019, ONE WEEK LATER, I am yet to hear back from the Service Dept or anyone at the dealership on the status of my car. I left messages for the Service Dept. AND the General Manager on Mon, Dec 2, 2019 without any response. Oh and my sales rep Mike S. - well, I NEVER heard from him, except one automated 'thank you' email sent from their CRM system. Again, thank goodness for Bobby H. who stepped in and has been helpful, but this is UNACCEPTABLE and I will be retaining an attorney to deal with this non-sense!
